Hello Quarterback

Fake dating was not in the plan this year. Especially since I hardly have time for actual dating. That is until Ford Madigan makes me an offer I can’t refuse: a fake relationship that will benefit us both. He’ll get away from the team owner’s entitled daughter while I score some points with members of the company’s board who love him more than they hate me. It all seems like a simple business transaction–make a few public appearances and pretend we’re in love until we both get what we want. The problem is… I find out he’s more than just another jock. He’s a humanitarian using his fortune to help kids all over Texas. Not to mention, he isn’t intimidated by my success like most men. Now I want more from him. I want something real. But scars from his past keep him from risking his heart a second time. I haven’t gotten where I am in life from settling, but I’m also not the kind of woman who will wait around for a man to realize what’s right in front of him. Will he make this relationship more? Or will I be the one who got away?
